At least 98% of us are born with the capacity to perform at the creative genius level on the same test George Land was hired by NASA to develop, but by age 31, that figure is reversed, and only 2% can do the same. This was proven in a longitudinal study repeated over 1,000,000 times around the world. But why? And how do we get it back? Discover the answer to these questions and more in this brilliant TEDX talk.

For most of human history, we have been plagued by wars, conflicts and strife centered in what Edward de Bono classifies as "right/wrong" thinking, thanks to Aristotle, Plato and Socrates. It's not that right / wrong thinking is always bad, sometimes it's excellent. But as de Bono demonstrates in a fascinating way, sometimes right / wrong thinking is excellent, but not enough. It's not enough to build value or create or build a better future, for example. Here is what we do about it:

Herman is one of the best jazz musicians in the world... but he didn't start that way. In fact, he didn't want to practice piano at all when he first started studying with Opher Brayer. So Brayer took a Kaizen approach, and started playing piano music in the background as they talked about girls and life. Eventually, Herman got curious and asked if he could play like he heard on the CDs and Brayer said, sure, it would only take one minute of practice per day.
As the weeks went by, and Herman developed a real love for the music, the ingenious patterns Brayer taught Herman to see in the music grew his practice from one minute a day to two minutes, to three minutes, and in a matter of months Herman would get lost in practice for hours at a time.
Three years from lesson one, he was recognized as one of the top jazz pianists on Earth.
This talk explores his story and the method he learned from Opher Brayer.

It sounds bananas but is actually true for some very important reasons. Here, Robert Maurer explores why small change is so effective and how you can use Kaizen as a philosophy.

Did you know you can teach babies to read? Did you know that the human brain is most able to absorb information between the ages of birth and 24 months, more than any other time in life? Glenn Doman made a series of amazing discoveries in his Institutes about brain development and child-rearing that should be made available to every parent on the planet, in my opinion. Here is an introduction to his work:
